Had an awesome time with friends! The place was cozy and well-kept. We enjoyed fishing and bird watching in the beautiful surroundings. The staff was friendly and made the stay comfortable. The breakfast spread was decent and a great way to start our days!
However, we heard from others about rude service during check-in and issues with room availability after they oversold. It was a bit concerning.

Plus, we loved the warm staff. they even surprised our children with snacks on arrival!
In my wife's opinion, the breakfast area could use more tables for families to comfortably sit together.

We stayed in a suite that gave us extra room, perfect for our kids. They loved the pull-out sofa bed, and it felt clean and well-maintained. The warm welcome from the employees, who even gave our kids goldfish and Hershey kisses, was a delightful surprise. The breakfast was decent too, making our mornings enjoyable.
Limited table space during breakfast.

Arriving after a long drive, the first impression was disappointing with littered stairways and a room that resembled a poorly structured patchwork of two spaces. Housekeeping seemed to neglect the basics, as evidenced by dead crickets and a dusty corner. The noise from the A/C made for an uncomfortable night, pushing us to seek better accommodations elsewhere. The Wi-Fi worked adequately, but the breakfast options were unappealing given our unease about cleanliness.

Recommend it for those in crisis
There was this moment when Beau & Brie, the owners, sat down with me, offering food and genuine empathy. They treated me as family during a tough time, and their warmth is something I won't forget.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but you pay for the value.
